The 21st Annual Scientific Meeting and Education Day of the Society for Neuro-Oncology will be held in Scottsdale, Arizona at the Scottsdale Fairmont Princess Hotel on November 17 – 20, 2016. Please click on the individual quick links to the right for details.  

 

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Annual Scientific Meeting will feature the latest in clinical and research advancements including plenary sessions on the 2016 revision of the WHO Classification of CNS Tumors and a separate session focused on Epigenetics in Brain Tumors.

  • SNO is pleased to announce that Pulitzer Prize-winning author Siddhartha Mukherjee will deliver a special keynote address on Saturday, November 19. Dr. Mukherjee’s address is made possible through the generous support of Novocure. Dr. Mukherjee is the author of the New York Times number one best seller, The Emperor of All Maladies. His new book, The Gene, published this summer by Simon & Schuster, is a magnificent history of the gene and a response to the defining question of the future: What becomes of being human when we learn to “read” and “write” our own genetic information?   • The Education Day will focus on Precision Medicine and the new WHO classification of CNS tumors and will offer innovative and informative presentations in Translational Science, Clinical and Applied Neuro-Oncology.  Highlights will include mock integrative diagnostic and molecular tumor boards. For complete program information and confirmed speakers, click here.

  • New technological features including:  “Best of the Day” webcasts, simulcast of presentations to several meeting venues, new and interactive E-poster technology, and “i-talks” by experts in the field. 

  • An exciting gala dinner with live entertainment is planned for Saturday night, November 19th.  This event will be held at a private airport not far from the Fairmont Hotel.  For additional details, click here

  • Meeting hours: Education Day (11/17), 8:00am - 5:00pm, Scientific Meeting (11/18 - 11/20) begins 8:30am Friday, November 18, concludes 1:30pm Sunday, November 20. Sunrise sessions begin at 7:00am Friday thru Sunday.

 

NEURO-ONCOLOGY REVIEW COURSE
