Speaker/Presenter Information 6th Biennial Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Research Conference
June 10-12, 2021

 

Presenters at the Biennial Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Research Conference are asked to note the information below and important deadlines. To better assist with the new virtual format, below you will find links that are respective to your presentation role and type.

PRESENTER ROLES & REQUIREMENTS
For further information of what is required of you and what your participation will look for the virtual meeting, please see below:

  • Live Oral Abstract Presenter
  • On Demand, Pre-Recorded Abstract Presenter
  • Electronic Poster Presenter

EMAIL CORRESPONDENCE 
All abstract designations were sent out to the presenting author. Login details to complete task requirements and instructions for your role were sent out the week of April 26th.  If you did not receive these emails, please contact us.  

LIVE ORAL ABSTRACT PRESENTER
In preparation for your participation, we request the following information by Monday, May 10, 2021 at 11:59 PM EST:

  • Submit your final presentation slides via the drop box link emailed to you for review by our CME provider.
    • These should be the same slides that you will be using at the live meeting in June.
  • Please also submit via email, your biographical information to include on our website and in conference materials:
    • Current title that you hold (up to 100 characters)
    • Short bio in paragraph format, up to 250 words
    • Picture in JPG or PNG format, at least 250 pixels wide
    • Your credentials (i.e., MD, PhD, etc. maximum 3)

All speakers must participate in a virtual rehearsal prior to the start of the meeting.  We will send a separate email in the coming weeks with a rehearsal schedule and further FAQ’s about presenting virtually to better prepare you.

LIVE ORAL ABSTRACT PRESENTER SLIDE PREPARATION
Your final presentation slides are due on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 11:59 pm EST for review by our CME provider. Please use the following guidelines when creating your presentation:

  • Consider no more than 1 - 2 slides for each minute of presentation time. Please work to make your slides easy to read, using sharply contrasting text on your chosen background. Select a font and size that will be easily readable and ensure that each slide does not contain so much data/images/pictures that it is confusing or overwhelming for the viewer.
  • There is no meeting-specific template that you must use. 
  • We will only accept slides in PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx). If you are using Apple/Keynote, we ask that you convert your presentation to PowerPoint prior to submitting your slides.
  • Ratio: 16:9 
  • You must include a disclosure slide that includes your conflicts of interest. Your disclosure slide must align with the disclosure form you previously submitted. If you have nothing to disclose, please include a slide that states, “I have nothing to disclose.” Please carefully read the following oral presentation guidelines.

ON DEMAND, PRE-RECORDED PREPERATION SLIDE PREPARATION
Please use the following guidelines when creating your 5-minute presentation:

  • Consider no more than 1 - 2 slides for each minute of presentation time. Please work to make your slides easy to read, using sharply contrasting text on your chosen background.
  • Select a font and size that will be easily readable and ensure that each slide does not contain so much data/images/pictures that it is confusing or overwhelming for the viewer.
  • There is no meeting-specific template that you must use. 
  • Ratio: 16:9 

ON DEMAND VIDEO PRESENTATION INSTRUCTIONS

Click on the Dropbox link in the email sent to you to submit your on demand video presentation by Friday, May 28, 2021.

ELECTRONIC POSTER PREPARATION
As a general guideline, please work to make your poster easy to read, using sharply contrasting text on your chosen background. Select a font and size that will be easily readable for the viewer.

  • Template: There is not a meeting-specific template that you must use.
  • File Format: We will only accept the poster as a PDF file with 1 page.
  • File Size: No limit
  • Orientation: Landscape would be the preferred orientation.
  • Ratio: 16:9
  • File Naming: Please use this file naming convention: Last Name, Abstract ID, Title of Abstract, (i.e. Smith-EPCO-89-Pediactric Clinical Neuro-Oncology)
ELECTRONIC POSTER SUBMISSION, UPDATING INSTRUCTIONS
Please click here for step-by-step instructions on how to upload your poster into the Cadmium system.
Click on the login information in the email sent to you to submit your electronic poster by Friday, May 28, 2021.
