AJNR News Digest Discusses Ferumoxytol in Neuro-Imaging

The American Journal of Radiology features a monthly e-publication, "AJNR News Digest" (http://ajnrdigest.org) which highlights the latest insights and technology in neuro-imaging in a tablet-friendly format.

The August 2013 issue of the Digest focuses on the use of iron oxide nanoparticles—in particular, ferumoxytol—in neuroimaging. MRI using ferumoxytol improves the visualization of tumor vasculature, central nervous system vascular malformations, central nervous system inflammatory diseases, tumor inflammation, and relative cerebral blood volume measurements. In this issue, eight authors discuss historical and current preclinical and clinical research demonstrating the wide utility of ferumoxytol.
