Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the process and importance for the development of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, in the multimodal treatment of brain metastases, across the disciplines of neurosurgery, radiation oncology, radiosurgery, and medical and neuro-oncology.
- Indentify evidence-based treatment paradigms for both newly-diagnosed and recurrent/progressive metastastic brain tumors, with an understanding of the role and applicability of various treatment options, alone or in combination, including radiation therapy, surgical resection, stereotactic radiosurgery, chemotherapy, new and emerging novel treatment regimens, and the use of anticonvulsants and corticosteroids in this patient population.
- Describe the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in optimizing best practices for the overall care of patients with brain metastases.
