The 2011 Annual Blood-Brain Barrier Consortium meeting will be held March 24-26, at Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, Washington. The focus of the meeting will be translational research in the blood-brain barrier and neuro-oncology. The key topics are "The Impact of Cancer Therapy on Cognition and Quality of Life" and "The Brain as an Immunologically and Pharmacologically Privileged Site." The meeting is partially funded by a NIH R13 meeting grant with support from the National Cancer Institute, National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, and National Institute of Deafness and Communication Disorders. The 2011 meeting is organized in collaboration with the International Brain Barriers Society (IBBS).
