Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center 2011 Neuro-Oncology Symposium

The Mischer Neuroscience Institute at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center invites you to attend the 2011 Neuro-oncology Symposium on Saturday, March 26 from 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa ( 111 North Post Oak Lane , Houston , TX 77024 ). 
 
The event's featured speaker is Michael McDermott, M.D., Professor and Vice-Chairman; Director, Patient Care Services; Co-Director, Skull Base Surgery and Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Programs; and Robert and Ruth Halperin Chair at The University of California, San Francisco. Topics to be discussed at the event include Gamma Knife radiosurgery treatment, chemotherapy treatments for glioblastomas, surgical aspects of neuro-oncology, new brain tumor research, and more.
 
The cost to attend the event is $75 for physicians and $25 for nurses (physicians in full-time training are free). The symposium provides 4.5 Continuing Medical Education hours and 4.5 Continuing Nursing Education hours. Lunch and breakfast will be provided.
