Multi-Disciplinary Organization Dedicated to Promoting Advances in
Neuro-Oncology Through Research and Education

SNO 2011 Scientific Meeting (not including Education Day)

The Scientific Meeting, November 18-20, will be held in conjunction with the AANS/CNS Section on Tumors, and will feature popular and informative plenary sessions and informal poster sessions, and invited experts from diverse fields for Sunrise sessions.
You may register for an OPTIONAL Clinical Trials course for young investigators to be held Thursday, November 17, 1:45-5 pm (see checkbox on registration page).
To highlight the challenges of neuro-oncology trials with an emphasis on surgically based studies, a 3 hour educational workshop is planned for young investigators that will focus on topics pertinent to clinical trials. Surgically based neuro-oncology clinical trials address issues of more extensive tumor resections, evaluation of targeted therapies, improved drug delivery, immunotherapy, gene therapy, stem cell therapy and brachytherapy.  These studies have unique aspects in terms of trial design, conduct and evaluation.  Members of the tumor section and SNO who have served as a Principal Investigator of clinical trials, will review trial endpoints, response assessments, evaluation of treatment toxicities as well as statistical considerations.  Regulatory requirements for applications to the Federal Drug Administration and Institutional Review Boards will also be reviewed.

Registration for the Scientific Meeting includes continental breakfasts each day and boxed lunches Friday and Saturday, a Welcome Reception on Thursday, 2 poster-viewing receptions and banquet.

If you require assistance with hearing, vision or mobility, or require a special diet, please specify in the Comments section.

The Pre-registration deadline for lowest registration rates is October 17.

The Registration deadline is November 10. Online registrations cannot be accepted after November 10. You will have to register on on-site, and on-site surcharges will apply.

CANCELLATIONS must be received in writing no later than November 10, and registration fees will be refunded less a $50 handling fee. Cancellations received after November 10 cannot be refunded, but the meeting registration can be transferred to another person with written authorization.
