Congratulations to John Sampson, 2015 Guha Award Recipient

The Society for Neuro-Oncology is pleased to announce that John Sampson, MD, PhD, the Dr. Robert H. Wilkins and Gloria Wilkins Professor of Neurosurgery and Chief of the Division of Neurosurger at Duke University Medical Center has been named the 2015 Abhijit Guha Award recipient.

Jointly administered by SNO and the Section, this award recognizes an individual who emulates the qualities demonstrated by Ab Guha during his career.  Correspondingly, the award honors an accomplished investigator who has achieved significant results both in the laboratory and the clinic. Moreover, the award seeks to recognize an individual who has played an active role in the mentorship of the next generation of neuro-oncology professionals.  Dr. Sampson embodies the characteristics as the recipient of this prestigious award.

The Guha Award and Lecture will be given during during the 2015 Section on Tumors Meeting.

Congratulations to Dr. Sampson on this well-deserved honor.
