Outreach Activities

International Outreach Activities

Provided below are the SNO International Outreach initiatives and activities that we are currently offering as part of our outreach efforts.

Video Taped Lectures

Through a generous donation from Schering-Plough, SNO was able to produce DVD sets of the SNO 11th Annual Scientific Meeting held in Orlando, Florida in 2006. Each set contains over 22 hours of lectures and PowerPoint material. Over 200 copies of this DVD set were sent to teaching facilities, medical centers and individuals in emerging areas that would not ordinarily have the ability to travel to North America for the SNO Annual Meeting.  A limited number of the DVD sets remain available. To request a copy (while supplies last), please email:

Fellowships and International Funding Listings

With information supplied by SNO volunteers, the SNO administrative office is maintaining a web-based list of available international fellowships and funding opportunities.  To view the current list, click here.

International Meeting and Conference Listings

The SNO administrative office has compiled a list of CME activities that may be of interest to international members.  To view the list, click here.

Message Boards

Message boards have been created to encourage the sharing and exchange of information on neuro-oncology broken down by geographical region.  To access these message boards through MySNO, click here.

The SNO administrative office is working with our volunteer leadership to develop additional international outreach activities and programs, including travel fellowships to the SNO Annual Meeting, a "toolkit" for management of common neuro-oncology problems, and expanding the international content of this website, both in English and in other languages.  But to accomplish these goals, we need the support of our members.
