Research Interests/projects:
-Our research interest is to study the biological function of brain cancer stem cells and signaling pathways that regulate
brain cancer stem cells. Projects include developing novel therapies for malignant pediatric and adult brain tumors
based on targeting cancer stem cells and studying the mechanism by which genes or signaling pathways regulate brain
cancer stem cells. This is a collaborative research among the Department of Neurosurgery, Cell and Development
Biology, and the Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Michigan. It provides an excellent opportunity for
training and career development. Candidate with strong experience in molecular biology, signal transduction, flow
cytometry, and mouse models is preferred.
