2023 SNO Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Research Conference

Oral Abstract Presenter Guidelines:
Your final presentation slides are due on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 11:59 PM ET for review by our CME manager per ACCME standards. Please use the following guidelines when creating your presentation:
  • Disclosure Slide: You must include a disclosure slide that includes your conflicts of interest. Your disclosure slide must align with the disclosure form you previously submitted. If you have nothing to disclose, you must include a slide that states, “I have nothing to disclose.”
  • General Guidelines: Consider no more than 1 - 2 slides for each minute of presentation time. Please work to make your slides easy to read, using sharply contrasting text on your chosen background. Select a font and size that will be easily readable and ensure that each slide does not contain so much data/images/pictures that it is confusing or overwhelming for the viewer.
  • Template: There is not a meeting-specific template that you must use.
  • Format: We will only accept slides in PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx). If you are using Apple/Keynote, you will need to convert your presentation to PowerPoint prior to submitting your slides.
  • Ratio: 16:9
  • Presenter View: This will not be available, please plan accordingly.
  • File Naming: Please use this file naming convention: Day of Presentation, Last Name, Presentation Title (i.e. Thursday, November 18-Doe – Presentation Title).
  • Videos: Embed your video within your presentation and bring a backup of your video as a separate file on your USB drive. Internet will not be available onsite.
  • Animations/Transitions: Ensure that your presentation does NOT have a preset timer to advance slides.
  • Oral Presentation Guidelines: Please carefully read the following oral presentation guidelines.
Poster Presenter Guidelines
Poster Presenters will be responsible for attending the in-person poster session at the meeting in Washington, D.C. and submitting an electronic version of their poster as a PDF file. The electronic poster will be available on the conference website to be viewed by attendees at both the meeting in June and will remain on the website for approximately one year after. 

ONSITE POSTER PREPARATION
The in-person poster session will be on Friday, June 23 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at The Showroom, located in The Franklin Court Building, 1099 14th St NW, Washington, D.C.
  • Size of your Poster: No larger than 45” x 45” (115 cm x 115 cm)
  • Adhering of your Poster: Pushpins (supplied onsite)
  • Setup Time for Poster Presenters: Friday, June 23 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm.
  • Poster Removal: All posters must be removed on June 23 by 8:00 pm. All posters not removed will be discarded.
ELECTRONIC POSTER PREPARATION
  • General Guidelines: Please work to make your poster easy to read, using sharply contrasting text on your chosen background. Select a font and size that will be easily readable for the viewer.
  • Template: There is not a meeting-specific template that you must use.
  • File Format: We will only accept the poster as a PDF file with 1 page.
  • File Size: 10 MB
  • Orientation: Landscape would be the preferred orientation.
  • Ratio: 16:9
  • File Naming: Please use this file naming convention: Last Name, Abstract ID, Title of Abstract, (i.e. Smith-EPCO-89-Pediatric Clinical Neuro-Oncology)
