ABSTRACTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW

25th Annual Scientific Meeting and Education Day
of the Society for Neuro-Oncology
November 19 - 22, 2020

Austin Convention Center, Austin, Texas

Due to the extraordinary circumstances we find ourselves in, the abstract deadline for the 2020 Annual Scientific Meeting of the Society for Neuro-Oncology has been extended to Friday, June 19, 2020.  Although we have received a high number of submissions, we recognize that there may be colleagues who need to re-claim the time that may have been lost due to lab closures, statistical analyses delays, upended work schedules, etc.  We are pleased to offer this extension and invite you to submit your work to the premier conference for researchers and clinicians with a professional interest in tumors of the central nervous system. Join us as we highlight the theme "2020, Vision for the Future" and celebrate the Society’s 25th anniversary.

Deadline for COVID-related abstracts: September 1, 2020. To submit your abstract, click here.
Note: Abstract must address Patient Care, Laboratory Science, and/or Ethical Issues in the Era of a Pandemic. Abstracts in any other category will not be accepted and should not be submitted.

COVID-19 UPDATE

At the present time, SNO is planning to hold the 2020 Annual Meeting as scheduled. We have been in contact with the Austin Convention Center and our hotel partners to discuss a contingency plan as well as appropriate measures we can take on-site, including increased availability of hand-sanitizing stations, increasing the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting public area surfaces, thorough disinfecting of bathrooms in public spaces, additional sanitizing of high-touch surfaces and door handles, and a campaign to promote touchless interactions with colleagues.

Ultimately, the health and safety of our registrants, partners and SNO staff remain our main concern. We will continue to follow guidance and recommended safety measures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).  Updates and new information will be posted on the SNO website.
