Faculty

John de Groot
Dr. John de Groot is a Professor in the Department of Neuro-Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is an expert in the fields of glioma angiogenesis and molecularly targeted therapy. He completed his medical education at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and pursued internship and residency at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Following a clinical fellowship at MD Anderson, Dr. de Groot joined the faculty in 2004. Dr. John de Groot is a Professor in the Department of Neuro-Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.


Roy Strowd II
Dr. Roy Strowd II is a neurologist specializing in neuro-oncology, hematology, and oncology at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston -Salem, North Carolina. He completed his medical education at Wake Forest School of Medicine. Dr. Strowd served his residency in neurology at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. In addition, he completed a fellowship in neurology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Strowd is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
