Excellence in Education Award, Honoring Lisa DeAngelis, MD
SNO is pleased to announce a new endowed award to recognize an individual who has demonstrated excellence in neuro-oncology education.
This prestigious award honors the accomplishments of Dr. Lisa DeAngelis, who has exemplified academic excellence, leadership, clinical scholarship, and dedication to advancing the field of neuro-oncology throughout her career. The inaugural award will be presented at the 28th Annual Meeting of the Society for Neuro-Oncology in November 2023 in Vancouver, Canada.
Eligibility
This award is targeted towards middle and senior level educators from any neuro-oncology subspecialty including basic science, neuro-oncology, medical oncology, neurosurgery, radiation oncology, pathology and radiology. Eligible recipients should have made notable accomplishments and received national and/or international recognition in neuro-oncology education and/or training.

One-time $2,500 award per recipient
Commemorative plaque
Complimentary registration to the SNO Annual Meeting where the award will be presented
Award presentation during a plenary session of the SNO Annual Meeting
Award announcement on SNO website and in annual meeting program
