CNS Lymphoma: From Molecular Insights to Novel Therapeutic Approaches
Target Audience
Neuro-oncologists, medical oncologists, neurosurgeons, neurologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, neuropathologists, physicians/scientists, clinical and laboratory trainees, and allied health professionals.
Statement of Need/Program Overview
CNS lymphoma represents a rare but aggressive malignancy for which treatment outcomes remain suboptimal, particularly in elderly patients and those with secondary CNS involvement. The emergence of BTK inhibitors and CAR-T cell and cellular therapies offers transformative potential, but clinicians require updated guidance on integrating these agents into practice. This SNO Adult Molecular Tumor Board will convene leading experts to review primary and secondary CNS lymphoma, discuss cutting-edge therapies, and offer perspectives on the future of clinical trial design in this evolving landscape.
Educational Objectives
After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to:
- Distinguish primary from secondary CNS lymphoma and apply current molecular classification systems to guide diagnosis and management.
- Evaluate the clinical evidence for novel therapies including BTK inhibitors, CAR-T cell therapy, and other cellular therapies in CNS lymphoma, including mechanisms, efficacy, and toxicity.
- Discuss how molecular profiling has shifted the diagnostic and therapeutic paradigm, and identify genomic alterations relevant to patient management.
