SNO Journals

Among the many benefits of a Society for Neuro-Oncology Membership are subscriptions to Neuro-Oncology, Neuro-Oncology Practice, and Neuro-Oncology Advances

Neuro-Oncology
is the official journal of the Society for Neuro-Oncology, the Japan Society for Neuro-Oncology, the European Association for Neuro-Oncology, and the World Federation of Neuro-Oncology. Neuro-Oncology is published by Oxford University Press. Dedicated to providing superior and rapid publication of information in all areas of neuro-oncology, the journal contains peer-reviewed articles and reviews, symposia on selected topics, published abstracts of annual meetings,  and society news and announcements from around the world.

Neuro-Oncology

The editorial office of Neuro-Oncology is pleased to announce that Science Citation Index (SCI) has assigned Neuro-Oncology an Impact Factor of 10.091 in its most recent ranking. Solidifying the journal’s reputation as the leading journal in its field, this rating places Neuro-Oncology ahead of its direct peer neuro-oncology journals, establishing it as 8th among all ranked clinical neurology journals and 13th among other oncology journals.  For more information, click here.

Neuro-Oncology Practice

SNO is pleased to include Neuro-Oncology Practice as part of the SNO membership benefit package.  Now in its third year, this journal is edited by Dr. Susan Chang, Director of the Division of Neuro-Oncology at UCSF, in San Francisco, California. Neuro-Oncology Practice focuses on the applied aspects of neuro-oncology, filling a need for practical and educational content on this topic.  This title is published in partnership with Oxford University Press with the financial support of the National Brain Tumor Society. Neuro-Oncology Practice is included as a benefit of membership in SNO. For more information, click here.

Neuro-Oncology Advances

Neuro-Oncology Advances is intended to expand the scope and spectrum of what Neuro-Oncology journal covers. NOA is an open access inter-disciplinary journal encompassing basic, applied, and clinical investigations in all research areas as they relate to cancer and the central nervous system. It provides a single forum for communication among neurologists, neurosurgeons, radiotherapists, medical oncologists, neuropathologists, neuroradiologists, and researchers together with educators. NOA will be publishing high-quality research after the same exceptional-standards of peer-review and editorial process that the field receives from Neuro-Oncology; however, NOA may not always apply the same criteria for novelty that may be a factor in acceptance decisions for Neuro-Oncology. NOA will serve to increase accessibility to areas of research outside of the scope of Neuro-Oncology.  For more information, click here.
